Price freeze once again for Posh season tickets

Posh have frozen season ticket prices for the 2023-24 campaign, even if they are playing Championsh­ip football

It’s the second successive season prices have not been increased, although the 2022-23 freeze followed a relegation from the Championsh­ip.

The early bird discount price is now available until April 30 with savings of up to £50 on offer. The discount period covers two paydays and a monthly payment finance deal is available.

Posh co-owner Darragh MacAnthony said: “It goes without saying times are tough for clubs up and down the country, but we recognise that it is equally as tough for supporters to back their clubs during these difficult periods.

"We agreed as owners it was important to do the best we can to help our loyal fan base, who have been tremendous in their support throughout this season.

"I want to take this opportunit­y to thank all of our fans for their support this season.”

Under 12s will be admitted free of charge if accompanie­d by a full paying adult.

‘Bring a friend for a tenner’ will be in operation again and the platinum ticket, which offers a host of benefits, is also for sale, initially at an early bird adult price of £1,699.

There are four price categories, adult, senior citizen (65+), under 24s and under 18s.

Adult prices until April 30 for the main stand and the family stand range from £439 to £479 depending on optiions fans took in Covid seasons.

Adult prices for the London Road End range from £349-£389.

From May 1 the adult stand and London Road End prices rise to £529 and £429 respective­ly.

Matchday admission prices will be released at a later date.

Posh home crowds have held up this season. The average home gate for League One games (discountin­g Tuesday) is 8,298, the 11th highest in the division.

Last season’s Championsh­ip average was 10,029.

The 2020-21 season was played out behind closed doors. The League One average at Posh home games was 7,371, albeit in a shortened season.
