FRIDAY 19th: The Crown, Lincoln Road,

has Kick Back (pictured) from 9pm. Popular Cambridges­hire fourpiece covers band.

Charters, Town Bridge, has Hippies, Freaks and Shakers by DJ Terry G & guest from 8pm – playing a mix of psychedeli­c 60s and 70s.

The Ostrich Inn has Halo from 9.30pm.

TUESDAY 23rd: Brewery Tap

has Pub Quiz from 8pm in the function room.

Blue Bell, Werrington, has Comedy Night with headliner musical comedian Alex Camp and rising stars of the comedy circuit.

Postponed:

A show featuring 90s pop icon Heather Small has been postponed.

The former M People singer and her live band were scheduled to perform at Peterborou­gh Cathedral on May 5 – part of a huge series of musical events going through the summer.

A new date for the event has been fixed – November 1
