Throughthe strategic development plan, the coun- cil is seeking to secure the l ong- t erm economic growth of the city, make the area even more attractive, prosperous and sustainable and to be the place to invest, live and visit.

The plan will become the blueprint for further expansion over the next 10 to 15 years, including new homes and business parks.

To deliver the programme of activity required to realise the aims of the plan, the council is working in partnership with the private sector, utility companies and national agencies to invest in infrastructure.
