Honda has announced UK pricing for the new 10th-generation Civic, which is due to hit showrooms in late March.

The Japanese firm has also launched two new petrol engines with the latest Civic: a 1.0-litre, threecylinder unit that develops 127bhp, and a larger 1.5litre four-cylinder engine that produces 180bhp.

Prices for the entry level S model with a 127bhp VTEC turbo engine start at £18,235, while the top-ofthe-range Prestige model with a 180bhp VTEC turbo engine and CVT transmission will cost £27,480.

Other models in the Civic line-up include the SE, SR, EX, Sport and Sport Plus, with prices starting at £18,335, £20,180, £23,040, £22,470 and £25,335 respectively.

Residual value predictions, determined by CAP, have also been released ahead of the Civic’s launch. CAP has forecast that the new car will hold up to 37% of its value after three years and 60,000 miles.

Phil Webb, head of cars at Honda UK, said: “As a brand we are making big strides in improving residual values across our range. This will make our cars even more affordable and lower the total cost of ownership for private and business buyers.

“The launch of the advanced and sporty new Civic is a major milestone for Honda in the UK and so we are delighted that CAP agree with our own assessment of this fantastic new car.”
