Former Maud men Sim and Cramp switch to Bay watch

Cruden Bay have appointed Mike Sim as their new manager, with Mike Cramp as assistant.

The pair, who were previously with Maud, take over from Steve Scott, who has joined Banchory St Ternan.

Sim said he is looking forward to getting started at the First Division East club.

At Pleasure Park, Maud face Stonehaven while Colony Park, buoyed by last week’s Scottish Junior Cup success at Annbank, make the trip to Ellon United.

Hall Russell United travel to Montrose Roselea and United boss John Carroll admits he’s surprised at the Angus club’s lowly league position.

He said: “I watched them early in the season and thought they’d finish top four but so far it hasn’t happened. That said, they drew at Stonehaven last week so we’ll certainly need to be at our best to get a result.”

At Milton Park, Banchory St Ternan will be out to recover from last week’s mauling when they entertain Inverness City, while Dyce are at Dufftown.First Division East leaders East End host Fraserburg­h United, with Sunnybank meeting Lewis United in an all city affair at Heathryfol­d.

Aberdeen University face Stoneywood Parkvale while Longside go to Glentanar and Buchanhave­n Hearts host Newmachar United.

Islavale meet Deveronsid­e in the First Division West with Nairn St Ninian going to Burghead Thistle. Forres Thistle are at home to Buckie Rovers and New Elgin welcome Spey Valley United.

At Gallowhill­s Park, Newburgh Thistle are up against Whitehills in the opening round of the Dominos Pizza North Regional Cup, with Culter playing Hermes at Crombie Park in the second round of the same competitio­n.

All games get under way at 1.30pm.
