Woman’s seizures eased by operation
An Angus woman with epilepsy and cerebral palsy, who used to suffer more than 100 seizures a day, has seen the quality of her life improve dramatically.
Jackie Kelly’s recovery came after an operation and help she received from Lorraine McNab, the Quarriers epilepsy fieldworker for central and south Aberdeenshire.
After working with Ms McNab, Mrs Kelly, 50, was referred to a Quarriers centre in Glasgow where staff advised her to have corpus callosotomy surgery.
Following the operation three months ago, Ms Kelly’s seizures have dramatically reduced.
