Police crack down on antisocial drivers
Police in Banchory have begun to crack down on antisocial drivers.
The move comes after a spate of vehicle offences, including motorists with loud exhausts, windscreen obstructions and defective tyres were allegedly committed over the last few days.
Six drivers have been charged with road traffic offences while another has received an official antisocial behaviour marker for unsociable driving.
Road policing Sgt Andrew Meikleham said: ”Following a number of recent complaints from residents road policing officers have conducted regular patrols in the area.
“As a result of these patrols we have stopped and spoken to a number of drivers to discuss their driving behaviour.”
