Offshore platform casualty
A casualty was taken to hospital from an offshore platform yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to the Lomond Platform shortly before 11am following reports of someone in distress.
The helicopter took the casualty to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) and landed shortly after 1pm.
The Stonehaven Coastguard also assisted with the operation.
A coastguard spokeswoman said: “The casualty has been transferred to the care of the ambulance service.”
She was unable to give any further details.
