Woman held after boy dies

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a boy in Essex.

Police were called to an address in Rochford, near Southend-onSea, at around 9.50am yesterday over concerns for a child’s welfare.

The boy was taken to hospital by air ambulance but died a short time later from his injuries.
