Family business suffers from actions of shamed Aitken

The Press and Journal (Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire) - - LOCAL NEWS -

David Aitken’s actions have already had a significant impact on those in his family and who work in his business.

The Aitkens Bakery was put up for sale earlier this year and only two of its outlets remain open.

The fallout from his offences has been felt by his dedicated staff in other ways, too.

At least one of the firm’s fleet of vans has been vandalised, with social media images showing the graffiti damage discovered by one of Aitkens’ drivers.

The vehicle had been daubed with the word “paedo” while parked outside a store on Menzies Road in Torry.

The court heard yesterday that Aitken had made efforts to mitigate the devastating impact on those close to him.
