Inverness poppy launch

Poppyscotland marked the launch of this year’s Scottish Poppy Appeal with a reception at Inverness Town House yesterday.

The official opening of the Garden and Field of Remembrance in Cavell Gardens, will take place at 1pm on Monday.

Others activities during the Poppy Appeal will include scores of volunteers collecting in every supermarket around the city throughout the coming fortnight and a darts night on October 31, which is being arranged by a group of veterans known as the Poppy Nessers.
