Motorist jailed for pushing cyclist
An angry motorist who pushed a cyclist into the path of oncoming traffic after confronting him has been jailed for two years.
Darren Hefferman, 37, overtook Gareth Marshall, 43, and when the cyclist asked him to give him more room the motorist took exception.
He stopped his car further up the road and waited for Mr Marshall, Newport Crown Court heard.
He then pushed Mr Marshall off his bike into the path of traffic coming from the opposite direction, causing catastrophic injuries.
