Can Cans look to derail in-form Locos
Inverurie Locos face Forres Mechanics in an intriguing tussle at Harlaw Park.
Locos manager Neil Cooper said: “It was a great result for Forres against Buckie last week which kept them up there near the top of the league, but we also had a great 7-1 win at Fort William.
“Hopefully we can put on another good performance and with home advantage we can go on to win what will be a difficult game.”
Locos full back Chris Herd is unavailable and striker Chris Angus is out with a knee injury.
Mechanics manager Charlie Rowley said: “We’re certainly not going into the game over-confident, as we realise what we are up against as regards the quality players at Locos, and their main man, Neil Gauld, in particular.”
Forres full-back Simon Allan has a back injury, Craig McGovern has a knee problem and midfielder Martin Groat is nursing an ankle knock.
Turriff United will look to get back on track after the 2-1 defeat at Forres Mechanics when Clach, whose only absentee is winger Blair Lawrie who has work commitments, visit The Haughs.
Deveronvale welcome back midfielder Sam Robertson for the home game against Strathspey Thistle but youngster Jody Munro is suspended and Matt Wallace is unavailable. The Jags’ central defensive duo, Richard Tawse and Richard Finnis, miss out through work commitments.
Fraserburgh will look to consolidate third place at Christie Park but Huntly will be boosted by the news that want-away midfielder, Ross Still, has agreed a two-year extension to his contract to keep him at the club until the summer of 2021.
