Buildings to glow red to mark end
North-east buildings will glow red this weekend to mark the centenary of the end of the war.
King’s College Chapel at Aberdeen University, Rhynie Church, Rhynie War Memorial and Kinnaird Head Lighthouse in Fraserburgh will all turn crimson.
They will be joined by Findochty Church, the leopard statue in Marischal Square, Aberdeen, Aberdeen Airport, Ballindalloch Castle and Banff Parish Church. The nine sites will light up as part of the Poppy Scotland campaign Light Up Red to thank those who made the ultimate sacrifice on Armistice Day, tomorrow. Gordon Michie of Poppy Scotland, said: “We owe a huge thanks to everyone who has helped make this happen.”
