Sturgeon needs to heed history lesson

SIR, – The first minister, interviewed last Sunday, gave us a poignant reminder, saying: “Remembrance Sunday is an opportunity to express our gratitude, but also to learn the lessons of that conflict so that we may hope that we may never see the like again.” Ms Sturgeon should need no reminding of the lesson that history has taught us that conflict between, and even within, nations is so often the result of one particular myopic and dangerous political philosophy: Nationalism.
