Health services research
Groundbreaking healthcare research carried out in the Grampian region during the last year was showcased at an event this week.
At Aberdeen University’s Foresterhill campus NHS staff, researchers, patients and members of the public came together to celebrate research at a symposium day on Tuesday.
The focus was public awareness and involvement in clinical research.
Dr Katie Banister, who co-ordinates patient and public involvement and en- gagement for the Health Services Research Unit at the university, said: “A highlight of the day was hearing directly from the public who work with us on developing and improving health services research and what a difference they have made by being involved in research teams.”
