Loganair opens up regular routes to Cornwall

Holidaymakers will soon be able to fly from Aberdeen to Cornwall, following the announcement of a new air route.

Loganair will start a service to Newquay on April 1 2020, offering year-round flights in both directions several times per week.

On Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays the southbound flights will go via Newcastle while on Fridays and Sundays the northbound flights will make the stop.

On Saturdays, there will be a direct flight.

He added: “With more and more people holidaying in the UK, avoiding expensive euro exchange rates or enjoying a staycation with friends and family, we’re confident that the routes will do well.”

Steve Szalay, managing director of Aberdeen Airport, said: “Securing new routes for Aberdeen is one of my top priorities and it’s fantastic that Loganair is choosing to build on its commitment to the airport and region by announcing this route.

“Seeing Loganair grow its business by spotting opportunities like this shows there is great confidence in the domestic market and this 10th Loganair route for Aberdeen is quite a milestone.
