Potshots at Chris only show why he’ s right

The Press and Journal (Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire) - - AGENDA -

SIR, – The abusive reaction which Chris Packham has suffered for his environmental campaigning and his challenge to the shooting of wild birds should come as no surprise (P&J, October 7). This is the mentality one would expect of those who take pleasure in killing for “sport”.

It puts me in mind of a quote often misattributed to Gandhi, but which summarises Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violent protest: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then you win.” Keep campaigning, Chris, you have reached stage three.
