Third time the charm for Maud and Dee

Banks o’ Dee and Maud will attempt to play their respective Scottish Junior Cup second-round ties at the third time of asking this weekend.

Dee are at Thorniewoo­d with a trip to Glenafton Athletic awaiting the winners, while Maud host Kirriemuir with a home tie against Large Thistle the prize at stake.

There are three replays, led by the Crombie Park clash between Culter and Wishaw for the right to welcome Rossvale. Ellon United are at Boness United with the winners away to Stonehaven, and Deveronsid­e visit Maybole for the right to meet Dyce at home (kick-offs 2.30pm).

There’s a Grill League Cup Final berth up for grabs when Stoneywood Parkvale face Hermes at Stoneywood.

In the McBookie.com Superleagu­e, victory for Nairn St Ninian against Montrose Roselea at Links Park will see them move up to second, while Bridge of Don Thistle face Banchory St Ternan at Aberdeen Sports Village.

At Denmore Park, Hall Russell United welcome Dyce and East End are in Inverurie to play Colony Park.

Game of the day in the First Division is at College Park where unbeaten Fraserburg­h United take on top-of-thetable Stonehaven, while Aberdeen University, in second, are at home to Sunnybank. In the other games, Longside entertain Dufftown and Buchanhave­n Hearts go to Buckie Rovers.

Top faces bottom in the Second Division when Islavale meet Cruden Bay, Whitehills travel to Burghead Thistle, Forres Thistle have home advantage over New Elgin and Glentanar travel to Newmachar United.

All local games kick off at 2pm.
