Breast screening uptake worry
If there is one thing that health experts are sure about when it comes to breast cancer: screening is a proven life-saver.
Many thousands of women are alive today who might not have been had they missed the chance on offer to get checked.
What there is less certainty about, given that, is why the number not taking it up from the NHS has dipped in recent years.
Even in this region, where take-up is healthier than elsewhere, the decline has been worrying.
Let us hope the campaigning this month persuades more people just what a difference it could make, whatever their reservations.
