The north-east branch of NFU Scotland (NFUS) is hosting a special energy event later this month.

The event – where speakers will discuss renewable energy production and storage – takes place at the Lochter Activity Centre, near Oldmeldrum, on Monday October 28 at 7pm.

One of the speakers, Water Fuel Engineering managing director Angel Ninov, will explain how a vehicle can be modified to use hydrogen technology and reduce emissions by 80% and improve fuel efficiency by up to 20%.

“With ambitious climate change targets high up on the political agenda, there are potential opportunities here to try to help ourselves mitigate emissions, save money and be greener,” said NFUS north-east renewables co-ordinator, Davie Smith.
