Elgin assistant boss Keith Gibson admitted: “At the start of the game, we got that early goal and hoped to kick on but we just never really got going.
“I thought our play was slow and a bit laboured, but credit to Berwick as well because they never gave us a minute’s peace.
“They scored a decent goal and they had a chance before it so the equaliser was probably deserved.
“Once we got the players in at half time, we gave them a wee rocket up the backside and got that reaction we were looking for.”
