Elgin as­sis­tant boss Keith Gib­son ad­mit­ted: “At the start of the game, we got that early goal and hoped to kick on but we just never re­ally got go­ing.

“I thought our play was slow and a bit laboured, but credit to Ber­wick as well because they never gave us a minute’s peace.

“They scored a de­cent goal and they had a chance be­fore it so the equaliser was prob­a­bly de­served.

“Once we got the play­ers in at half time, we gave them a wee rocket up the back­side and got that re­ac­tion we were look­ing for.”
