DNA tests on skulls found in drugs lair

The Press and Journal (Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire) - - WORLD NEWS -

Mexican authorities are running DNA tests to determine the identity and origin of 42 human skulls found at an altar in a drug gang’s hideout.

The mound of skulls in Mexico City was piled around what appeared to be an altar of an AfroCaribbean religion.

A raid by hundreds of police on a labyrinthine slum complex last week yielded the skulls, two methamphetamine labs, guns, grenades and about two and a half tonnes of marijuana.
