A new leadership programme to tackle wildlife collapse and climate change is being piloted by two rural bodies.

The Landscape Leadership programme is a collaboration between Soil Association Scotland and Scottish Land & Estates (SLE).

An initial cohort of 10 participants will be given training over four twoday residential sessions between January and April next year.

“This new leadership programme is an excellent opportunity for people who own or manage land to ensure they can futureproof their business,” said SLE head of policy, Stephen Young.

“We are in a period of considerable change in our sector with ambitious climate change targets, challenging market conditions and we now, more than ever, need strong and clear-thinking leaders. That’s why we are delighted to be involved in this new initiative.”

The deadline to apply is November 22. More details are at www.soilassociation. org/landscapeleadership
