Busi­ness skills test for three stu­dents

An agri­cul­ture stu­dent from SRUC’s Craib­stone cam­pus in Aberdeen is in the run­ning for a top award.

Jack Cooper, who is in his fourth year of the BSc Agri­cul­ture course, is one of three fi­nal­ists in the AgriS­cot busi­ness skills com­pe­ti­tion which seeks to as­sess agri­cul­tural pro­fes­sion­als un­der the age of 25 on a range of farm and busi­ness man­age­ment tasks.

The other fi­nal­ists are: fourth year ru­ral busi­ness man­age­ment stu­dent Sarah Hodge, who hails from a fam­ily farm in East Loth­ian, and third year agri­cul­ture stu­dent Martin Flood who comes from a fam­ily beef farm in Ire­land.

The three fi­nal­ists will com­pete in the fi­nal stage of the com­pe­ti­tion, and the win­ner will be an­nounced at the AgriS­cot event on Novem­ber 20.
