Council’ s decision at odds with us

-

SIR, – It seems that Aberdeen’s ruling council group are somehow further removed from reality than first thought.

I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard deputy provost Jennifer Stewart defending a recently convicted sex offender – who has shown absolutely no remorse for his actions – live on radio.

I don’t think anyone, regardless of party politics, would agree that he should continue as a councillor,

attending civic receptions at the expense of local taxpayers.

The decision of the council to defend Alan Donnelly is so far removed from the views of everyday Aberdonians. The sooner we have the chance to give this ruling administration the boot, the better.
