Buckie battle back to scupper Lossie
BUCKIETHISTLE 3 LOSSIEMOUTH 1
Buckie boss Graeme Stewart hailed his team for battling back for the second game in a row to secure a last-minute victory against unlucky bottom-of-the-table Lossiemouth at Victoria Park.
In very windy conditions the Jags fell behind to an early Ryan Sewell strike but equalised thanks to a penalty from Sam Urquhart, before scoring two late goals in the second half through substitute Steven Ross and Lewis MacKinnon to take all three points.
Stewart said: “The wind was definitely a leveller. Lossie played very well. I was impressed with their workrate and their organisation and we didn’t play well, so a combination of those

things meant we struggled.
“Good teams win when they play bad, so that is probably the biggest positive I can take out of it.
“Mentality-wise that is us coming from behind against Turriff, Forres and again today and getting results so we are showing we have a decent mentality.
“Last season we would have got beat or drew that game so in terms of this team’s development, we are at a better level than last year.”
Lossie assistant boss Ian Campbell was disappointed his side left without a share of the spoils.
He said: “The boys gave everything but we never seem to get a lucky break. We’ve come off the pitch so many times to managers saying you boys deserved something but we are bottom of the league.”
