Antonio Banderas stars in Pain And Glory

The Universal Hall in FIndhorn is continuing to show more films screened with subtitles, which makes them suitable for those who are hard of hearing.

On Friday, it’s Pain And Glory, a Spanish movie which tells of a series of encounters experienced by Salvador Mallo, a film director in his physical decline.

In recovering his past, Salvador finds his salvation.

This thinly-disguised autobiography, directed and written by Pedro Almodóva and starring Antonio Banderas, is both moving and beautifully acted.

On Friday, February 29, the film being screened is Honeyland, which tells the story of Htidze Muratova, the last in a long line of Macedonian wild beekeepers.

Her peaceful existence is thrown into upheaval by the arrival of an itinerant family, with seven rambunctious children and herd of cattle.

● Both films start at 7.30pm. For tickets contact 01309 691170.
