Selfish Charles sets bad example during crisis

SIR, – As a resident of rural Aberdeenshire, I am shocked and appalled that a high-profile figure such as Charles Windsor and his spouse have been so thoroughly selfish and irresponsible.

The very clear advice to city dwellers is that those who are fortunate enough to have second homes in rural locations should not move to them during this time of crisis but should remain in their principal residence to avoid putting intolerable pressure on already stressed health resources.

This is particularly disappointing in the case of this particular individual who ought to be setting a much better example and who is not only stretching our limited health service but also our local police who have better and more important things to do at this time than provide 24-hour protection on the Balmoral Estate.
