Columnist should quit his carping

SIR, – Despite the country, along with most of the members of Parliament, coming together to support the government response to the coronavirus, your columnist James Millar takes the opportunity to criticise Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak, despite massive financial support given to many sections of our society (The Press and Journal, March 25).

In my opinion, rather than criticising, your columnist should be giving the government all his support and stop carping.
