Renewables could leave us out of puff

SIR, – Wind power across the UK, with a supposed capacity of 15,321 MW (megawatts), has collapsed as I write, and by 4.20am dipped to a paltry 821 MW. And remember, no solar energy during these hours.

Thank God we’re not at 100% renewables as the climate alarmists want. Want to cook all that rice and pasta you’ve been stockpiling? Sorry, there’s no electricity. Hospitals? Bring a torch. Need an electric ambulance? You’ll have to wait while they charge up. Ventilators? Forget it.
