Virtual updates by union

NFU Scotland is hosting virtual meetings to update politicians on Covid-19’s impact on the farming sector.

It has organised 12 meetings covering each of its regional areas and invited MPs and MSPs.

Union director of regions Teresa Dougall said: “The meetings will focus on Covid-19 and on the response from the agricultural and food sectors in these times of crisis. However, as we start to give thought to recovery, it will be important to have major issues like Brexit, climate change and food supply chains also on the agenda.”
