Honour for dairy farmer
A veteran Scottish dairy farmer is this year’s recipient of the Holstein UK Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award, given to someone who has provided an outstanding service to the Holstein breed, has been given to Jack Brewster, who runs the Boclair herd near Glasgow.
Mr Brewster, 93, has worked in the dairy industry for 80 years and held various roles in the sector including being the first chairman of the Scottish Dairy Cattle Association. He has judged cattle across the globe and his herd has won countless awards.
