How wealth management can help reduce financial worries

-

At all times of life, but particularly during this Covid19 pandemic, money ranks high on the list of reasons people experience stress. But with the right guidance, plans can be put in place that will give you peace of mind about your finances.

Shona Macaskill, Chartered Financial Planner at Gary Walker Wealth Management, has been working with clients for years to create and develop strategies for managing money and investments to get the best possible outcomes.

She answers some of the most common questions she gets about wealth management.

Probably more common than you think. According to a recent study, 40% of all employees report that money worries have given them stress over the last year; the Chartered Institute of Personal Development found that one in four workers report that money worries have affected their ability to do their job; and 19% of employees have lost sleep worrying about their finances.

What’s more, another report showed that 44% of women and 33% of men in the UK have felt anxiety caused by financial stress, highlighting that this is a common worry.

Some companies offer an Employee Assistance Programme, which provides guidance and direction to an employee who has questions or worries. At Gary Walker Wealth Management, we have a Financial Education Programme that aims to assist employers in improving the financial employees.

We can help contribute to a greater level of employee wellbeing with financial education, helping them understand their own financial circumstances and empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their finances.

When it comes to seeking actual financial advice, everyone’s circumstances are highly personal and unique so we recommend getting one-to-one bespoke advice from a qualified professional, eg a financial adviser or planner. wellbeing of their

Wealth management refers simply to money management in all its aspects. It is a form of investment management and financial planning that provides solutions to a wide array of clients from cradle to grave.

It typically includes advice on investments, protecting yourself, your family and your business, retirement planning and tax and trust planning, to mention a few.

There is a common misconception that you need to be “wealthy” to use the services of wealth management. You don’t need to be an athlete to use a gym, but most athletes benefit from using a gym. Similarly you don’t need to be a high net worth individual to benefit from sound financial planning.

There is certainly with some wealth-management companies and advisers. At Gary Walker Wealth Management, we seek to help all clients regardless of earnings and/or savings levels.

The majority of my clients come to me through word of mouth.
