Help for firms to deal with pandemic

“It is focused on how to steer a course through the current challenges”

A north-east business coach has urged firms in the region to take advantage of a free programme aimed at helping them navigate through the Covid-19 crisis.

The Alternative Board (TAB) Rise Above initiative will address many of the key business-related questions posed by the pandemic. It will bring together senior business figures to share knowledge, views and experience, and is expected to help participants develop new action plans.

Online sessions will cover areas such as strategic decisionmaking, competitive strengths and weaknesses, prospective new opportunities and markets and an assessment of supply chain, customers and revenue streams.

Chris Rigby, a business coach and Aberdeenshire east TAB facilitator, said: “Rise Above is a genuinely distinctive engagement opportunity because it is focused primarily on the practical realities of operating a business today – on how to steer a course through the current challenges and emerge in good shape.

“It’s a platform for business owners and leaders to assess their business models and operations; to understand what needs to change and what a tangible development strategy might look like.

“They will be able to share their knowledge and views with other businesspeople who, like them, need to map a way forward.”

The four-part series starts tomorrow, with registration details available via the website of business coaching firm Turuq.
