Rebranding for meat quality assurance
The quality assurance scheme for Scottish butchers will be revamped and rebranded following a review.
Scotch Butchers Club members undergo audits to ensure that the meat they sell is sourced from trusted Scottish farms and in turn can sell branded as Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork.
The scheme will promote members’ skill, craftsmanship and knowledge to consumers via new social media channels and a dedicated website.
