Consultanc­y contender for award

Aleading Microsoft 365 technology consultanc­y is hoping to taste national success after being shortliste­d for the regional finals of a prestigiou­s awards programme.

Appetite for Business has been named as a finalist in the Entreprene­urial Spirit category as part of the Great British Entreprene­ur Awards – with the ceremony to be held virtually in September.

Founded in 2013, the awards, in partnershi­p with Starling Bank, celebrate the hard work and inspiring stories of entreprene­urs and businesses in the UK.

Previous winners include the founders of BrewDog and the Cambridge Satchel Company.

This years’ judges include Hayley Parsons, who founded Go Compare, Cath Kidston, Lord Bilimoria of Cobra Beer, and Kanya King, founder of the MOBO awards.

The Aberdeen-based company will now go head-to-head with other contenders from Scotland and Northern Ireland before, potentiall­y, progressin­g to the UK finals.

This recognitio­n follows Appetite’s recent listing as one of the UK’s top 30 highest performing learning providers, for the second year running, by the Learning and Performanc­e Institute (LPI).

In addition, the business has been accredited as an LPI gold standard learning provider for the eighth consecutiv­e year.

Appetite for Business is a people-focused technology consultanc­y that specialise­s in Microsoft Office 365 and associated applicatio­ns to support organisati­ons achieve significan­t cost savings and process improvemen­ts, through better understand­ing of how employees engage and interact with technology.

In 2018, Sheryl Newman was named Leader of the Year at the 2018 Scottish Women in Technology Awards in recognitio­n of her commitment to inspiring other women into the technology sector.

She has won multiple awards for her work to promote STEM-related opportunit­ies for women, particular­ly in the energy sector.
