Cheviot ewe lambs (1,027) averaged £59.84 and sold to £92 for a pen of lambs from Pabbay Farm, Isle of Pabbay.

All other breeds (276) averaged £62.30 and sold to £76 for a pen of Texel crosses from Allangrang­e Park, Muir of Ord.

Heifers (23) sold to average 202.5p selling to a top of 212.4p per kg for a 445kg Limousin cross from Horsebog, Grange, and £1,140 for a pair of 562kg Limousin crosses also from Horsebog, Grange. Bullocks (32) sold to an average 208p selling to a top of 222p per kg for five 386kg Charolais crosses from Elphinhill­ock, Glenkindie, and £1,260 for two 600kg Limousin crosses from Horsebog, Grange. OTMS (12) sold to a top of 141p per kg for a 780kg Simmental from March Farm, Bonnykelly, and £1,500 for an 1,120kg Simmental cross from Corskie, Garmouth.

Prime heifers (26) averaged 218.3p (-4.1p) and sold to 234p per kg for a 560kg Limousin cross from Edendiack, Gartly, purchased by Backmuir Livestock and £1,416.05 for a 635kg Limousin cross from Seacrest, Huna, which was purchased by W & J Cameron, Burnside of Edingight, Grange Young bulls (2) averaged 141.3p (-41p) and sold to 147p per kg and £1,278.90.

Beef cows (61) averaged 143.6p (+2.9p) and sold to 177.5p per kg for a 600kg Limousin cross from Lynton Cottage, Ulbster, and £1,450 for an 822kg Limousin from Tarmair, Boyndie.

Dairy cows (4) averaged 120.4p (+4.5p) and sold to 126.4p per kg for a 716kg Holstein Friesian and £1,035 for an 834kg Holstein Friesian both consigned from The Pole, Burray.

Boning cows (13) averaged £635.

Bulls (9) averaged 121.9p (-4.7p) and sold to 143.5p per kg for 885kg British Blue cross from Seattersqu­oy, Stenness, and £1,570 for an 1,175kg Charolais from Hillside, Fetternear.
