Fine knits that will enrich your autumn wardrobe
In an array of gorgeous colours and luxurious fabrics, fine knits are here to enrich your autumn wardrobe, says
Not everyone looks good in a chunky cardigan. And it’s not because some of us are, ahem, more generously proportioned than others. The people who can’t get away with chunky knits are the same people who don’t really suit chunky jewellery, no matter how much they want one of those golf-ball necklaces favoured by politicians and PR executives.
Whether it’s something to do with bone structure, facial features or skin tone, some people just look better in fine knits, delicate jewellery and light textures.
Anyone who has had “their colours done” will already know this, and know that they are a winter, summer, spring or autumn person.
Springs suit the delicate stuff, winters suit the heavy stuff and autumns and summers fall somewhere in between, depending on the colour and texture of the accessory or piece of clothing.
But just because you can’t rock a cable knit that doesn’t mean you have to shiver your way through the cooler months – because fine knits are here to keep you warm and looking fab.
Fine knits are perfect for layering. Add a knitted cardigan on top of a cotton dress – or wear a knitted dress under a leather jacket. Fine knits are so, well, fine, you can even wear a sweater and a cardigan at the same time.
What’s more they are so comfortable to wear, with none of that cumbersome bulkiness of thick jumpers and cardies when worn under a winter coat.
And oh, the colours! This autumn, take your pick from rich reds, brilliant blues, subtle mauves and vivid citrus shades.
