Extra cheesy!

M&S has launched a new mac and cheese dish which claims to contain more cheese than any other on the high street.

Available from this week, the Our Best Ever Macaroni Cheese is made with four types of cheese: cave-aged cheddar for tang, pecorino for a salty bite, emmental for nutty sweetness and mozzarella for that creamy stringiness which epitomizes the dish.

It’s priced at £3.50 and is suitable for vegetarians.

Feel-good dips

While working as a private chef, Hannah McCollum was horrified by the amount of food waste in the catering sector, so decided to do something about it.

The result is ChicP, a range of delicious dips made using imperfect and surplus seasonal fruits and vegetables grown in the UK.

There’s six types of hummus on offer and three falafelinspired bites, all made with heathy fats, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Each is gluten, sugar, dairy, nut and pesticide-free, and suitable for vegans and those following a low-calorie diet.

Delivered in reusable packaging, it’s available in individual pots and 1kg tubs in health food stores and online.

Student favourite

Renowned as being an unhealthy snack for hungover freshers, instant noodles have reigned as a student staple for years. However, with the new generation of students being more health conscious, they started to fall out of favour.

Itsu’s rice’ noodles aims to restore instant noodles as something to be eaten with pride and joy, just as they are across Asia.

Made with an authentic broth, low in calories and salt, they come in four flavours – katsu, satay, chilli miso and chilli chicken – and can be enjoyed on their own or can be included in more exciting dishes and for using up leftovers.

Available in Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrison’s and the Co-op, priced around £1.75.

Sea change

Sea Change wines make a donation to marine conservation charities to fight plastic pollution with every bottle sold.

With minimal packaging and no plastics used on the bottle or lid, you’ll feel like you’re making a difference with every crisp glass!

Autumn wines include Prosecco Rose, RRP £12.99; Negromaro, RRP £9.99; Sauvignon Blanc, RRP £10.99 and Prosecco, RRP £12.99.

Alternatively, there’s gift packs in three or six bottle sizes, available exclusively at SeaChangeWine.com from October onwards.
