Southwell new CFO at global payroll and tax compliance specialist

Aberdeen -based activpayroll has appointed a new chief financial officer (CFO).

Nick Southwell has secured the role at the global payroll and tax compliance specialist, which is headquartered in Aberdeen.

The firm says he brings a wealth of experience to the team, having worked for large international businesses, mentored start-up companies in the technology sector, consulted with various FTSE 100 companies and government, as well as a number of PE- backed businesses.

He is the latest addition to activpayroll ’s management team, which recently saw the appointment of Steve Callaghan as nonexecutive director and chairman.

The firm said the appointment comes after the recent expansion of the business which will see him help with the growing customer demand across the globe.

He will be based in the activpayroll headquarters in Aberdeen and will be responsible for helping shape the strategic and continued international growth, capitalising on the ever-increasing demand for activpayroll’s payroll and tax solutions.

Mr Southwell said: “I’m certain that my varied experience built over the years will allow me to further strengthen not only activpayroll’s finance team, but the business as a whole, helping it achieve its potential.”
