Police appeal follows armed robbery
Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Highlands.
As previously reported, thieves targeted a rural property at Foxhole, near Kiltarlity, at about 7pm on Monday.
Police have now revealed five men threatened the four occupants of the property with a weapon before stealing their car and fleeing with cash.
The vehicle has since been recovered.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and may have dash- cam footage to come forward.
Two vehicles have been listed as of interest in the investigation – a green Citreon C3, which was seen in the area between noon and 6pm on Monday and a blue Audi A4 estate.
The Audi was spotted on the A833 Milton to Balchraggan road and the A862 Inverness to Ardullie road between 7pm and 8pm on Monday evening.
It was also spotted in the area of Aird Road in Beauly on the night.
Detective Inspector Craig Still said: “This was a shocking and unusual incident for this area and an extensive police investigation is ongoing.
“The household involved were physically uninjured.
“Our inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing but it appears this was targeted and there is no wider risk to the community.
“I would urge anyone who may have information to come forward – particularly if you believe you have seen either a green Citroen C3 or blue Audi A4 estate operating in the area or if you have seen any individuals acting suspiciously.”
Anyone with information can call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
