Mull hotel aims to buck pandemic with £3m redevelopment
An ex tens ive redevelopment project has begun at a prominent Mu l l hotel, despite the pressures of the pandemic.
Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa, owned by Crerar Hotels, will undergo major redevelopment with the aim of reopening to the public in April.
More than £3 million will be invested by Crerar Hotels to bring a brandnew four-star hotel to the island with 72 luxury bedrooms and bathrooms.
The renovation will also result in the creation of 20 full-time jobs at the hotel.
A collection of sea view suites will be added to the hotel to support the venue’s extensive spa offering and 17- metre swimming pool.
The hotel’s public areas will be fully refurbished with a new restaurant and two bars being added to the venue’s offering. A new external balcony adjacent to the restaurant will also allow guests panoramic views across Craignure Bay.
The grounds surrounding the hotel are due for redevelopment, with a full remodelling and landscaping planned throughout the gardens right down to Craignure Bay.
The hotel will be adding a range of outdoor facilities including an enchanted fairy walk, sea deck dining, boat moorings and external spa treatment rooms.
The multi-millionpound redevelopment brings Crerar Hotels’ total investment into its Hotels to more than £11m.
The project follows extensive renovation at Oban Bay Hotel, which was awarded four stars by the AA and an AA Rosette.
