Practical, flattering and low maintenance, there’s a jumpsuit to suit anyone
Is it just me, or is there a distinct feeling of optimism in the air at the moment? The snow has melted, the sun has been out, the vaccination programme is progressing and restrictions are beginning to ease. It definitely feels like things are moving in the right direction, so this week we are bringing back our domestic travel pages for those of you itching to get out on the road and enjoy some fantastic Scottish hospitality when doors reopen.
We have news of hotel special offers and popular attractions that are reopening across the country, and we’ll continue to bring you these round-ups over the coming weeks and months.
One north-east attraction that is getting ready to open its doors again is Aberdeen Science Centre. Having undergone a £6 million renovation that began pre-pandemic, it is all systems go for the centre as it gears up to welcome visitors from April 28. We caught up with its chief executive, Bryan Snelling, to learn more about the attraction and what people can expect when they return to the enhanced site on Constitution Street (see pages 8-9).
With double the exhibition space and more than 60 new interactive exhibits, it looks set to be a hit with visitors young and old.
I’m particularly keen to meet RoboThespian, which Bryan describes as “a robot with a personality”. I wonder if it can quote the works of Shakespeare. Or maybe it can recite the periodic table in Doric. Now that would be an impressive example of the appliance of science.
