Spear yourself a treat with our British asparagus ideas
It’s part of the magic of eating British asparagus that it has a fairly short season, and you never quite know when it’s going to start!
All being well, British asparagus should start appearing on supermarket shelves, at greengrocers, markets and at farm gates by April 23.
Tradition dictates that the season must end on mid summer’ s day( June 21), so that’ s just eight short weeks to be eating lots of this delicious home-grown vegetable. Here’s a couple of recipes to cut out and keep so when you spot it in the shops, you’re good to go.
