Pupils get set for farm lessons at showcase
More than 550 schools have signed up for Royal Highland Educational Trust (RHET) virtual farm presentations and activities during next week’s showcase event at Ingliston.
The RHET Discovery Centre, which is usually mobbed with children during the Royal Highland Show, is relocating online all next week at www.royalhighlandshowcase.org
Almost 100 teachers have also signed up for a “let’s go outdoors” webinar during the week.
RHET has announced the roll-out of a new 10-month-long educational project which will focus on the beef industry. The Beef Story will follow the production of sustainable beef, and starts in September with visits to Scottish farms, Covid restrictions permitting.
The organisation is looking for new partners for initiatives for the 2021-22 academic term, and can be contacted at rhetinfo@rhass.org.uk
