Emotional scenes at Pittodrie as Andy Considine’s career with Aberdeen comes to an end

Wish we had another six of him. Andy, wish you well on whatever venture you decided.

Please keep playing as long as you can, I felt preseason told me when to call it a day. But you are a fit young man, with bags of experience and an asset to whoever you decide to join. Walker McCall

Badly handled by the club. Alan Morrice

If half the current squad had given half the loyalty and commitment that this legend has done over the years we would not be where we are today. A true legend. Thank you.

Alan Morgon

He is the one player we should have gone the extra mile to keep… his kind of commitment is in short supply these days, especially with the sorry bunch Glass and Cormack pulled together.

John Robertson

So sad to see him go and I hope people noticed how more composed the defence was with him in it. Ian Bryson

Aye best of luck going forward, we certainly won’t miss all the penalties you had a habit of giving away during Rangers (especially), and Celtic games.

David Kennedy

Best of luck wherever you go Andy. Thanks for your many years of service and you always gave 100% for our team. Remember it was not just the fans who respected you, but great football men like Willie Miller and the current Scotland manager Steve Clark who know the game inside out.

John Milne

So sad to see you go Andy have watched your AFC career from the start always gave 100% should have had many more caps for Scotland had you moved to a bigger club you were a true Red legend to all the real Dons fans sadly not the present management. Best wishes at your next club.

There was dismay as it was revealed all dental practices in Moray were closed to new patients

We went through this before about 15 years ago. Lots of new NHS practices opened. Thought the dental school in Aberdeen was supposed to help with this.

It probably means the NHS are not paying enough for NHS dentists to do modern treatments, just patch up stuff.

Lorna McLaren

Yet less places this year for dental students than ever before!!

Helen Richard

The problem is very simple. Dentists are not paid enough by the NHS to perform proper and preventative treatment. They are only paid to perform basic procedures. This has led to a lot of dentists becoming disheartened with NHS practice. Many are turning to private health treatment where they can offer the most up to date procedures and have a degree of job satisfaction. The NHS and the government are happy to allow this as it will allow them to privatise all dental care in the not too distant future.
