North-east glows for Bonfire Night

-

Aberdeen locals will certainly remember remember this fifth of November. As with every year before the pandemic, around 10,000 people headed for Aberdeen Beach Esplanade on Saturday night to enjoy the fireworks.

Locals were wrapped up as they braved the chilly sea breeze to take in the evening’s events.

It was a feast for the eyes before the fireworks themselves even started, with fire jugglers and fire walkers entertaining the crowds.

Music Through the Decades was the theme of this year’s display, living up to the high standards set by the likes of musicals and films in years gone by.

Songs included Abba’s Dancing Queen, Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse Of The Heart, Queen’s The Show Must Go On and The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights.

And last night, Stonehaven’s skies were lit up as the town’s Round Table organisation hosted a fireworks spectacular at Mineralwell Park.
