Robert Gordon’s College offers the very best start

-

Renowned for its stimulating environment and high academic achievements, Robert Gordon’s is also recognised for its ethos of being a caring, inclusive and respectful community where children are encouraged to discover and explore a broad range of subjects to help them find their niche and build a love for learning.

At Robert Gordon’s College Nursery, children are welcomed into an exciting and caring learning environment led by a fully qualified teacher and team of early years practitioners. These experiences are further enriched by specialist teachers visiting the nursery to provide learning in art, drama, French, Mandarin, music and physical education, which continues as they transition through the junior school curriculum and co-curricular programme.

Mrs Sarah Webb, head of nursery and junior school says: “Nursery education forms a vital part in a child’s development and provides the foundation for continued happy learning.

“Getting the best start for every child is really important to us, where pastoral care for our children is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to spark a love of learning, and to challenge pupils to be curious. “

“We encourage all children to be active in their learning whether in the classroom or outdoors. They benefit from a wide range of specialist teachers who visit the nursery each week helping them to discover and explore new subjects and topics.”

“Robert Gordon’s College Nursery is an integral part of our junior school which offers excellent preparation for children as they progress into Primary 1. The exciting opportunities available to our pupils are extensive, enabling all our children to be eager and inquisitive.”

Mr Robin Macpherson, head of college, shares: “We’re a local school that thinks globally. We encourage pupils to develop their own sense of identity, discover who they are and what their place in the world is. We want them to be brave and adventurous, with a focus on learning how to learn, so they can adapt and thrive in an ever-changing world.

“It is an exciting time for you as a family, as you begin your journey at Robert Gordon’s College – a time where your curiosity allows you to make the most of a wide and varied curriculum. When you love learning you can take on any challenge the world sets you.

“Robert Gordon’s College is a special place with its foundations in a strong, caring community. There is no better place to be!”
