Dave Kelly is a blues singer, guitarist and composer who has been in the industry since the 1960s. He and fellow The Blues Band founding member Paul Jones are bringing their Acoustic Duo tour to Aberdeen and Inverness in February.

Costa Rica, France, Canada or USA.

Generally quizzes and antiques shows.

High Society followed by Midnight In Paris.

How do you relax? Playing tennis.

Follow your heart.

My wife.

Watched Countdown.

Worst mistake?

I’ll have to think about that one.

Your inspiratio­n?

Early rock n roll and skiffle.

Would most like to meet? Martin Luther King.

Childhood crush?

Gillian Smith (from primary school).

Weirdest fan gift?

A lovely present for my dog Otis after he appeared in many of my lockdown songs on Facebook.

Quirky habits?

A certain amount of mildly compulsive behaviour.

Worst meal?

Unfortunat­ely, this week in Toulouse. Thrice overcooked magret de canard.

What makes you laugh?

Lee Mack. Funniest man on TV.

Most embarrassi­ng moment?

Being very drunk onstage with The John Dummer Blues Band in Paris 1968.

Sean Connery or Daniel Craig?

Never seen a Bond film.
